5 (A) sa[vatra vi]jitasi Devanapriyasa Priyadraśisa rajine ye ca ata atha 6 [Coḍa] Pa[ṁḍi]ya Sa[ti]ya[p]u[tra] Keralaputra [Taṁ]bapaṇi [A]tiyoge nama Yona-[raja] ye ca [a].... sa [gasa] samata ra[jane sa]vratra ...... priyasa Priyadraśisa rajine 7 [duve 2] cikisa [ka]ṭa manuśa-cik[isa ca] paśu-[ci]kisa ca (B) oṣa[ḍha]ni manu…… ka[ni ca] pa .... [kani ca atra atra nasti savra]tra [ha]rapi[ta ca] ropa[pita] ca 8 (C) e[va]meva mulani [ca] phalani [ca] a[tra a]tra [na]sti [savra]tra harapita ca ro[pa]pita ca (D) ma[geṣu] ruchani [ropa]pi[tani] .......... [pi]tani paṭibhogaye paśu-m[uni]śanaṁ Translation (A) Everywhere in the dominions of king Devanapriyasa Priyadraśisa, and (of those) who (are this) borderers, such as the [Coḍa], the Pa[ṁḍi]ya, the Sa[ti]ya[p]u[tra], the Keralaputra [Taṁ]bapaṇi, the Yona king named [A]tiyoge and the other kings who are the neighbours of this king………everywhere two – 2 – (kinds of) medical treatment were established by king…..priyasa Priyadraśisa for men and medical treatment for cattle. (B) Everywhere there were no herbs beneficial to men and beneficial to cattle everywhere they were caused to be imported and planted. (C) In the same way, wherever medicinal roots and fruits were not available, they have been imported from elsewhere and planted. (D) On the roads trees have been caused to be planted………….for the enjoinment for animals and humans.
